Good coffee. No rush.

A neighborhood café for slow mornings. Stay as long as you like.

Come by tomorrow morning

01 · The coffee

It tastes like coffee.
Good coffee.

Our house blend is smooth and chocolatey, roasted medium so it's never burnt and never sour. Drink it black or with milk. Both are right.

  • Smooth.
  • Chocolatey.
  • Never burnt.
  • Never sour.
Press and hold until the cup is full.

02 · The room

A chair with a back. A real cup. Nowhere to be.

Thirty-two seats, most of them near a window. The music stays low enough to talk over. Mornings are screens-down until noon, so there's always a table for a book, a friend, or nothing at all. After noon, laptops are welcome, and the long table has outlets.

03 · Baked here

Croissants out of the oven at 6:15.

Everything on the counter is baked in our kitchen that morning. Come early. They go fast.

  1. Butter croissants
  2. Cardamom buns
  3. Banana bread
  4. This week's bake

04 · The usual

Come in a few times. We'll know your order.

The first hour, in orders

  • Flat white, oat
  • Filter, black, to stay
  • Two cortados and a croissant
  • Latte, extra hot
  • Cardamom bun, warmed
  • Filter refill, same seat
  • Americano, splash of milk
  • Small hot chocolate

Nobody here needs the fancy word for it. Tell us what you like and we'll make it that way, the same way, every morning.

06 · Questions

Good questions.

No. Our house coffee is roasted medium for a smooth, chocolatey cup. If you like the bright, fruity kind, ask. We always keep one on filter.

Almost always. We have 32 seats. It's busiest from 7:45 to 8:30 and quietest after 9:30.

After noon, yes, and the long table has outlets. Mornings are screens-down, so everyone who walks in can find a chair.

Never. Oat, soy, and whole milk all cost the same.

Completely. Tell us what you usually drink, or what you like, and we'll take it from there.

Free street parking on Alder Street, and a bike rack right outside. The 14 bus stops at the corner.

As long as you like. That's the whole idea.
